Overview
Orbit Attendance is an internal staff attendance system. It is used to record and manage employee attendance, including attendance submitted through the web application and through the WhatsApp Business Platform.
Information We Collect
Orbit Attendance may collect and process the following information for registered staff:
- Employee name, employee ID, role, assigned branch, shift, and required working hours.
- Employee telephone/mobile number, used to identify registered staff when they message the attendance service on WhatsApp.
- WhatsApp messages sent by employees to the attendance service, including button selections such as Check In, Check Out, and Mark Leave.
- Location coordinates only when an employee voluntarily shares their WhatsApp location for Check In or Check Out.
- Attendance records such as check-in time, check-out time, branch/location name, working hours, leave status, lateness, and related attendance history.
- Basic device or session information used for attendance administration and security.
How Location Is Used
Location coordinates are used only to verify whether the employee is within the permitted workplace or branch attendance radius at the time of Check In or Check Out. Orbit Attendance does not use shared attendance location for unrelated tracking, advertising, or sale to third parties.
How Information Is Used
Collected information is used only for attendance, administration, security, and related internal business purposes, including:
- Confirming registered employee identity.
- Recording Check In, Check Out, leave, branch, shift, and working hours.
- Verifying workplace attendance radius when location is voluntarily shared.
- Preparing internal attendance reports and summaries.
- Maintaining system security, audit records, and administrative controls.
WhatsApp And Meta
Orbit Attendance uses the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta to receive and send WhatsApp attendance communications. WhatsApp communications are processed through Meta systems according to the WhatsApp Business Platform and Meta terms and policies.
Sharing And Sale Of Information
Orbit Attendance does not sell employee information. Information is not shared for advertising purposes. Access is restricted to authorized personnel who need it for attendance, administration, security, or related internal business purposes.
Data Security And Retention
Access to attendance information is restricted to authorized users and administrators. Attendance and related records are retained only as required for legitimate business, administrative, reporting, security, or legal purposes.
Privacy And Data Requests
Employees may submit privacy or data requests through their authorized Orbit Travel and Tours administrator or the official internal management channel used for employment and attendance matters.
